The ring has a solid setting and I don't expect to have any issue with loose stones. The size and appearance match the picture. WARNING: The description list ten stones but the ring I received had eleven (insert Spinal Tap joke here). I was told the ring may contain nine to eleven stones. If you count the stones in the picture, you will count eleven.
I'm no diamond expert but I took some time with a microscope to create a rough map of the stones for my records. There was no visible imperfections to the naked eye or at 5x. Each one has inclusions at 30x, mostly crystals and a few stones have black spots. This is to be expected for VS grade diamonds, as was advertised. The color also was quite good, no noticeable tint or color. I bought this ring to match a 1 ct. VS1 princess cut, and it does match it well in brilliance.
As for Sea of Diamonds, they are a very pleasant vendors and are quite set on customer satisfaction. They have a good return policy but don't remove the tag unless you are sure you want to keep the ring.
Shipping was via FedEx, my nemesis. What shipping company decides to keep the package sitting in the corner because it's "not scheduled for delivery". I'm .2 miles from from the FedEx warehouse, give me the box today, don't keep it for tomorrow!
All said, I'm happy and my wife is happy too (that's what's really important).
